substitutions. In this recipe there is both baking soda and baking powder.
The Swedish translation is the same so, what do I do then? Then in the
frosting you say you can use butter instead of the vegetable shortening
does that men that I use 1/2 of butter instead of 1/4 of veg. shortening
and 1/4 of butter?

Baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) is different from baking powder. One
teaspoon of baking powder is actually made from 1/4 teaspoon baking soda,
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar, and 1/4 teaspoon cornstarch (corn flour). And
yes, use 1/2 butter instead of 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup vegetable
shortening.
