I baked them on New Year Eve it turned out just wow…. Thanks Stephanie
Happy New Year ….
i m 12 years old and i m gonna bake cookies on monday first time so excited
and i decided to make dis cookies!
Hi. I tried this earlier, but my dough was soft and creamy (more like
buttercream texture). I couldn’t get yours like in 4:44. What went wrong –
could it be that my butter was left to ‘softened’ at room temperature?
Thanks.
It’ll help if u cut the butter in cubes first before beating, thanks
@ Chloe Lee maybe you missed chilling the dough in the freezer beforehand?
listen to 4:25 again
Hi. Do you have to use ‘all purpose flour’ or can you use ‘plain flour’. If
you can, will the results be the same?
I only have 1/2 a cup of butter what do i do?
I didn’t realize the dough would be this tricky to work with. I couldn’t
roll it out quick enough before it softened. (I chilled it in the fridge
for 1~2 hours) I decided to wrap it loosely with plastic wrap and roll it
out to 1/4 inch/6cm thick inside the wrap. This way it wouldn’t stick to my
roller and after popping it in the freezer for about 10 minutes, I could
press the cookie cutters in almost immediately. PS. the melted chocolate
does wonders! Thank you Stephanie for this great recipe
hello! can i use a cookie press instead of cookie cutters? also if i would
like to add cocoa powder or green tea powder, how many grams should i add?
thanks so much!! : )
Yes, you could dip the whole cookie.
can you dip the whole thing in chocolate
Thanks for the reply! Yes, i used butter. =) Not sure if i need to use a
lot of flour when i roll out the batter.
the same question with me. I have tried replacing half of the unsalted
butter with margarine. The cookies turned out to be good with less fat, but
the tasty was good.
I live in the States, but the brands of butter I normally use to make
shortbreads are Plugra and Kerrygold.
Hello stephanie, i tried baking Shortbread & it turned out good. =) Thanks
for the demonstration & recipe! But i have a question, @06.26, i couldnt
get the batter as hard like it was in the video, it was soft & sticky (and
i actually keep the batter in the fridge for overnight) therefore i did not
use cookie cutter. =(
Yes, you can do that.
You “shud” watch the whole video next time.
thanks for the lovely recipe as usual…congrats..
You need baking paper and guides to keep it level when you roll it out.
I tried these, they ere gorgeous and light! my kids adored them too !
Thanks.
