Firstly, this new youtube comment system sucks balls. Secondly, I don’t
mean to burst your bubble but your mixology skill is quite appalling, Dan.
Why? Reason number one: the IBA official recipe of a Cosmopolitan which
calls for 40mL of citrus vodka, 15mL triple sec (essentially orange
liqueur), 30mL of cranberry juice (your ‘dash for colour’ looks like at
least 60 to me) and 15mL of lime juice. Reason number two: always measure
your freshly squeezed juice; you’ll never know for sure how much there are
in a half/whole lime, a statement like the one you made (a whole lime
equating a full ounce of juice) is simply ridiculous. Reason number three:
please, learn to shake a drink properly; I’m not accusing you of bad form –
I understand your necessity of looking ‘cool’, but at least put some effort
into the shaking to properly incoporate all the ingredients together.
I’ll have to say that this is true, except for IBA official cocktails.
There are unlimited variations on drinks, but just like how the English
language has a dictionary, there are specific recipes for “IBA Official
Cocktails,” and this is one of them.
With all do respect .. all tutorials i watched are total fail .. All
‘bartenders” pouring much more alcohol than usual .. If i drank one of
those coctails .. probably i would be on the floor immediately…
I’am a male but it impressed me much. Very good.
sharp ye knife dude
way to much lime. I checked all your videos, you do it wrong. Better check
some christian mcmillan or eben freeman because you do it wrong so people
watching your videos learn it the wrong way!
This guy is so weird, he reminds me of this guy I went to school with who
always raised his eyebrow in photos because he thought it made him look
cool.
estas bien wey….
Your right. My bad. But he still made the rusty nail wrong. That was the
video I watched first. So i guess i was kinda looking for him to mess up
again.
I’ve never seen 1 single cocktail recipe video without having comments
like: “WRONG!” “You need to do …” And a lot more like that, why are
people not understanding that every drink can be made different, of course,
the base is the same, but there aren’t any specific amounts for the drinks..
Loved it
Haha, you ugly piece of shit. I can ensure you that with that look at the
end of the video you will not impress the ladies, you will freak them out.
@plitwit oh my god at last someone who knows cocktails! I couldn’t agree
with you more!! I served like 20 of these tonight made just as you
described! Can you imagine, a lime wheel on a Cosmo?! Pfft….
THE ARE NO RULES!!! but cosmopolitan has… 1 shot vodka citrus, 1 shot
cointreau, 1 shot cranberry, 1 shot of lime juice and garnish with a flamed
orange peel.
@meniGu09 you don’t drink alot of cocktails, do you? I like my cocktails
the way they’re done by AM Dan
@stevenekin2 To ice the glass
before you post I think you should understand that triple sec IS orange
liqueur… the cointreau he put into the drink.
unless you are buying this drink for them there is no way it is going to
“impress the ladies”……
Not shot but part. 4 shots wont fit in a cocktail glass (unless its a large
one)
2:00 “and depending on the woman, a little lighter…” and then you do a 2
second tip of the juice in the shaker…WTF? That’ll definitely get your
woman pissed faster. Haha. Love it.
@Vickramjason Most if not all professional video editing programs will have
options allowing you to include or exclude certain hues and colors.
Don’t know why you guys have to complain and write these fucking comments,
when personally I think he makes it with style, which in this field you
should have. It doesn’t matter he is maybe a bit gay or whatever you said
on him, it is his confidence and gentle manipulating with the ingredients.
You should stop blaming and learn something useful… Idiots
damn..i like this stuff..!! gr8 tutorial man..!! also how did you manage to
shoot the intro video, i mean only desired parts of video has color??
Why does this guy make the drinks different than the recipe shown at the
end? This time he forgot triple sec. I just watched how to make a rusty
nail and he put an ounce and a half of both liquors. WRONG! Im done
watching these videos.
why the f u put ice in the glass earlier?
why’s my math teacher making me drinks
how many cl is the martini glass??
This man is an artist.
Do you need orange vodka? I heard you can make it with regular and add a
orange flavored one like orange liquor or triple sec
Why dont u measure it in mililiters????? U speak in parts, but we dont know
the volume of that glass!!!
i’ve tasted almost all of the famous martini drinks except this one…-.-
good question
Thanks for watching!
So Ironic! I ♡ the 90′s and the cosmopolitan!
“Parts” are ratios. For example, 2:1 could be two shots to one shot, or
four to two, etc. He’s wrong to suggest that ounces are parts.
@DutyCallsHoney 2 onz? way to much….. 1 is enough
@punkprincess08 i make the same face when im shakin bitches doggystyle
i’d say if it’s in a martini glass it needs to be strong
does citrus vodka and lime juice make this too tart? i dont usually see it
made with citrus vodka
You’re meant to muddle the limes with Gomme (Simple syrup) to offset the
tartness of them. This is such a half-assed effort at this drink.
Thanks for watching!
I tried this and it was horrible! Way too much vodka it over powers all the
other elements of the drink. Yuck all I can taste in my mouth is straight
vodka.
Thanks for watching and for chiming in!
@Spooie yup, it’s typically a girl’s drink but its one of the strongest
drinks out there.
sort of weird that he is using a tequila-based orange liquer…
Uggh this is my 3rd how to make a cosmo video, and they ALL look different,
all 3 cocktails.. !! $
I’m a beginner at making cocktails and I love cosmos, I’d like to make one.
I have Cointreau, lime cordial , cranberry juice and supermarket standard
Vodka. I’ve noticed that it the ingredients of a cosmo seems to vary a lot,
would you be able to tell me if the stuff I’ve got would work in roughly
the same measurements you’ve provided? Is the cordial an appropriate
substitute for fresh lime juice?
just remember- shake it shake it shake it, shake it all about, shake it
like a milkshake then pour a little out. shake it to the bottom shake it to
the top, spin around spin around until its time to stop
Question: Who is drinking all of these cocktails after they’re made??
not a good recipe really, the flavour is way too strong
