This has nothing to do with Greek “village” salad.
The PROPER recipe is:
2 big juicy ripe tomatoes (one gets squeezed for extra juice)
1 cucumber without seeds
1 block of feta cheese cut in pieces
1 big red onion cut in rings
1 green pepper cut in rings
5-6 Kalamata Olives, whole
1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil (yes GREEK, not that 3rd grade
Italian/Spanish CRAP)
oregano
sea salt

im not Greek but I make wicked Greek salad and I take chopped tomatoes,
try it out !
cucumbers, red onion (I hate normal one), 4 different colour peppers, feta
cheese, black and green olives and mix it up with olive oil. put some salt
and pepper and voila!

This is NOT Greek salad. We dont use lettuse and the feta cheese should not
be crambled. You put a small block on it. By the way iam a Greek Chef in
case you say that iam wrong.

Too many raw onions for me. I wouldn’t eat them. Prefer cooked onions.
By all means throw some tomato in there if you like. I often make a batch
of tabouli with lots of tomatoes and hummus when I make Greek salad, so my
tomatoes were all used up. My recipes are a starting point. add, twist and
tweek to make them fit your plate! Thanks for watching.
