And can I use butter instead of shortening?
Hey great tips. I am about to make one of these for my husbands birthday. I
havent ever made one so I wasnt sure if there was anything to do
differently when making one large cookie. He is wanting a double layered
cookie cake with a frosted middle. So I am wondering if you have ever taken
it off the pan whole? Is that even possible without breaking it. lol I love
the tip about the plastic wrap keeping it moist. Ours is going camping with
us so that is a concern.

Yes there is you can put parchment paper on the bottom of the pan. Then put
the dough and then bake let cool with clear wrap still on it and then it
should be able to come off good. Thanks for commenting

Sorry, I am not sure. I all ways just use shorting. But there are other
recipe on YouTube that use butter. But I am not sure how good it will work
