Hi there, I would keep the dough mixture out on the counter… and let it
warm up. I am going to guess that your butter was not warm enough. If the
mixture is really warm, and it is still not forming a ball, you can add a
bit more warm butter to it, and this will fix it. Let me know how it turns

Hi Alyssa, unfortunately you can’t. You would never want to do that to this
cookie, it will not be a shorbread. Shortbread cookies use 100% butter. I
do have lots of chocolate chip cookie recipes on my Youtube channels that
do use shortening though. Some use 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening. I hope

I have other
most sweeteners are very fine in texture, and quick dissolve, so I’d say
with a good amount of confidence that indeed you would have good results. I
