I fixed a mistake in the previous upload. Thank you so much for notifying
me in a timely manner. Answers to your questions are:
1) Ingredients are: 1 cup “salted” butter (225g), 1 cup confectioners’
sugar (125g), and 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (340g) (Kayyla, Roksan, Jian)
2) Confectioners’ sugar is recommended but it’s possible with regular
granulated sugar. The cookies will be rather grainy, yet still delicious. I
tried with granulated already. Just make sure you are using the correct
amount (weight-based). 1 cup of granulated sugar is 200g, not 125g.
(strawberri)
3) Possible shortbread flavors: unsweetened cocoa powder, green tea powder,
ginger powder, etc. Good luck! (megan)
4) Pomade (French) is used to explain ‘whipped butter’. (thanks Janice!)
Yummy I have some kids over tonight and I think I’m going to try your
recipe thanks!
I just finished making this dough and put it in the fridge. The dough was
quite crumbly and hard to work it. It kept falling apart as I was putting
in the plastic wrapper. I hope it hardens a little bit after refrigeration.
I made this recipe and THEY TASTED SOOOOO GOOD it was defiantly worth the
two hours of kneading
