Filling snack with a great consistency – best of the two flavors and not too spicy,
The “chips” themselves are little cylindrical snacks, sort of like small squashed Cheetos. They have an awesome and surprising crunch which made them fun to eat. The seasoning on the chips is slightly spicy and a little sweet. They are spicy enough to be flavorful, but not so spicy that my kids didn’t enjoy eating them. For the few calories and high protein, they are a snack that will fill you up without too many calories. To be honest, I was surprised how full I felt after just a small bag of these snacks.
I recommend you buy the sample pack of Garlic and Chili and see which one you like before committing to a whole box. I personally prefer the Chili, but I also like the The Simply Bar – Simply Protein Chips Herb – 33 Grams Herb flavor for a change of pace sometimes (the herb taste grows on you).
One other note – they are certified kosher just like the Simply Bars, but while the bars are certified by the O-U, these are certified by United Mehadrin Kosher in St. Paul, MN. Most accept this just like the OU, but since I couldn’t find this information online, I wanted to include it in the review.

Best I’ve found,
1) Finding a high-protein snack that’s not also high in either sugar or fat or both;
2) Finding one that is actually pleasant to eat.
Simply Protein chips win on both counts. Fantastic nutrition (it’s pea protein, which isn’t as complete as whey or egg, so some hard-core body-building types might either balk or supplement with rice protein to level out the amino-acid profile), and absolutely great to eat. The texture (crunchy and airy, unlike any other low-fat, high-protein item I’ve ever tried) is fantastic, and the taste is, as well. Don’t be scared by the chili peppers on the label: while there may be some spiciness to this product, it is not “spicy hot” in a way that burns your mouth like chili-pepper products often do. But the flavor is great. Almost an Asian-y chili flavor. They are by far the best savory protein snack I know of. If you’re wary, you can go on their website and buy a “sampler” of two bags of each of their two flavors of chips, just to try them out. That’s what I did at first, because, frankly, stuff that’s this good for you is usually awful tasting, with a gluey, pasty texture. Try them and be pleasantly surprised like I was. Simply also makes protein bars (not savory) that are the best non-savory protein snacks I know of. Look them up if you’re interested in something like that.

Filling snack with a great consistency – not crazy about the flavor at first, but it grew on me,
The “chips” themselves are little cylindrical snacks, sort of like small squashed Cheetos. They have an awesome and surprising crunch which made them fun to eat. They are covered in a seasoning that is a tiny bit sweet and rather heavy on the garlic. This was not to my taste initially, but I tried it again today and found the flavor grew on me. For the few calories and high protein, they are a snack that will fill you up without too many calories. To be honest, I was surprised how full I felt after just a small bag of these snacks.
