…umm Fall 2013?
Hi snotcat – I’m totally with you! Taking 10 minutes to make a salad
dressing from basic healthy ingredients that YOU control will always in my
mind be the best way to eat, and certainly a better option than using some
prepared dressing filled with preservatives and whatnot. And really, at the
end of the day – for each portion we are really talking about less than a
tablespoon of dressing for a bowl of salad…
Hi largo – that’s a shame, give it a try and I’m pretty sure you’ll love it.
u lost me at mayonaise.
Thank you for posting this vid. Looks yummy. Ill try this in a couple of
hours : )
a smooch of anchovy….lol
…D: how are ceasar salads not healthy!?!? Jeebus people go a bit over the
top with this ‘healthy food’ do’s and don’ts. Its a lot healthier than
going out and buying junk food, fast foods and sugar filled crap. My brain
just can’t comprehend why people think this salad is bad for you
Seth Rogan is that U behinde the camera? lol
make more videos!!!!
Thanks!!!! Now more videos pleeeeeease.
thnx bt dis camera js gave me a headache
LOL either that or “the fat guy from the Barenaked Ladies” ;¬D)
lol this is lovely but not healthy..I make salads to eat that are healthy
as that is the whole point of eating one.
Yummy
Thanks! There are a couple more in the works – Spring 2013!
Absolutely Delish. Great video thanks
This is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooogodd
I like your recipe and measuring style – just like something you’d find in
an old cookbook (smidge, dash, pinch, etc). Normally I stick with
measurements the first time I make something, but with the visual
presentation I found this recipe very easy to follow.
I love this recipe though I’ve added red wine vinegar to it. Just my
personal taste:-)) Thank you so much for sharing:-))
@erosamuk or the BACON!!
@chefmikebenninger I should marry you! I love a man that cooks!
Nice vid of a classic – ty for posting it. I like your easy pace and
presentation. Cameraman needs to switch to decaf but it gets the job done.
Could you tell us roughly how much lemon juice or olive oil you are using?
I know I can always adjust but it is nice have a decent starting point.
Nice tip on dressing half the salad first. And I agree with you that micro
planers are great. Again, thank you for the video.
This is the best recipe/demo for Caesar on YouTube.
Mustard is a preservative yes, but I meant no added stuff, real food only
I heard you say there are no preservatives in this salad…I believe
mustard seed is a natural preservative.
man this is a serious ceasar salad… Thanks! one day might try it.. but I
still use a bottle, But a expensive bottle
This is a great recipe, Michael, very easy to follow, I would add croutons,
& sometimes bacon, if I have it, I do the dressing in my small food
processor, (great little machine) use it almost daily, thx. for
posting~!~!~~!~ ☺
i loved this i live on salads now n this one is good;) thank you michael
LOVE THIS GUY, BUT DON’T FORGET THE CROUTONS, PLEASE!!!
How much of each should you put
the best recipe I’ve found for Caesar salad, thanks
@Chefmikebenninger Mike, I have to correct you one one thing. Mustard is a
natural preservative. Also, omit the lemon and try it with red wine vinegar
instead. It’s the way my father taught me 35 years ago!
Thank you Chef. Only one small change I will make is to use anchovy fillets
instead of paste.
a very instructive video and a good recipe , thank you
Thanks for the video. But I Must say the camera work is very … Sea sick!
): If I may reccomend. No slow rolling and zooming. Hold still. Cut to
close ups. MHO
not really good recipe…you need a nice homemade mayo to fill that in if
you want the real experience
NO CROUTONS? NO BACON? AND WHY ADD SALT WHEN YOU HAVE ANCHOVIES?
good one!
ALL I DO IS MAKE SALADS
No croutons? It looks like a great salad otherwise but my customers (i.e.
my family) would be asking.
chef, I just made about 3 cups of my own. the recipe i was looking at said
to add worcestershire sauce with anchovies as well, isn’t that overkill? I
see you use paste instead. I made mine for my roommate, but he didn’t want
any sea salt in it. I’m trying to get him to eat healthier, so i’ve agreed
to cook for him if he cleans up before and after the kitchen. I’m assuming
not putting the salt in is a good thing in this case.
bacon isn’t normal for a cesar salad.
no bacon, no croutons? looks like a nice dressing though
