Want to bake and decorate Christmas sugar cookies but not sure where to
start? Amy from our Test Kitchen walks through the basics in this episode
of the Easiest Way.
these turned out really hard and the frosting had no flavor:(
Thanks, my friends and family loved the cookies:)
why is it age-restricted?!
Thanks so much I’m a fifth grader and on Tuesday my class is having shared
lunch and this just made my day.
Oh my gosh!! it worked! thanks! :D
It has an age limit.. I’m 16 years old, I think I’m old enough to see
Christmas cookies just saying
how they always assume everyone has a mixer like that…. -.-
i was wondering if the icing is going to melt or get smushed? because i
want to bring these to school in a box and i dont wanna mess them up :////
How in the world is baking age restricted?
Thanks so much! I’m making these now.. I’m going to add some colors on the
Christmas Eve dinner table :)!
thanks for this!
really awesome !!!!!!!!!! mainly i loved your icing recipe ! :p
Is it okay to use a regular hand mixer instead of the fancy one used in the
video? I’m on a very tight budget for Christmas and there’s no way I could
afford one of those lol. Almost every cookie video I see on YouTube uses
one, and its just not an option this year
amazing!!!
cool
Why is it age restricted? ??? I wanna know how to make cookies too -.-
Thanks..
Its christmas time and i know some of you guys are busy shopping so here’s
a quick vid on simple christmas cookies!:)
I made these cookies 2 times this past weekend and they came out perfect !
Thank you so much for this post…… this was my first time making sugar
cookies with icing and now I will make sure to make this a Christmas
tradition with my daughter.
Thx for Sharing with us I have 2 try them
Can I use all the cookie dough in one go? (If there is still room on the
pan though)
thanks for the recipe but what do u use if u don’t have a paddle mixer?
Mine still turn out fluffy, and dense. I don’t like that!
Will the lemon juice make the icing taste lemony? I’m not a big fan of
lemon flavored sweets.
In our 257th Video Recipe Stephanie demonstrates how to make Spritz
Cookies. Spritz Cookies, also known as Swedish Butter Cookies or Pressed
Butter Cookies, are a very popular Christmas cookie, not only in
Scandinavia, but also here in North America. They have a lovely sweet and
buttery vanilla flavor with a texture that is tender crisp. As their name
implies, “Spritz” is German for “spritzen” meaning “to squirt”, which is
exactly what is done with this cookie dough. By that I mean we make these
cookies using a cookie press (gun).
Those look great, Stephanie, and going with the cookie press is a nice
touch. Great video as always.
i noticed that you have changed your recipe? is this one better than the
one you featured last year? because i’ve been making that one!
Love your videos thanks for sharing
Hi Stephanie!! I love this cookies, thanks for sharing!!
thank you for sharing your tips with us. cooling the cookie sheet is
brilliant.
I’m thinking , make the dough into a roll on the table just a tad smaller
diameter.
Then drop it into the tube and do a slow compress : ) I’m a potter and
that’s how I do my clay
And thank you for the cookie class.

Thanks Stephanie for all your lovely videos.Just want to know where u get
your cake pans n cookie sheets from n the brand name for your cookie press
Thankyou soo much for the recipe…. I tried it and it was melting in the
mouth
But I added 60gms in addition to the flour as the dough was very loose.
Is it ok??? Please reply Stephen
Lol I also have the exact same cookie press for just $10 and they make
perfect cookies everytime!
Thank you for this recipe, Stephanie … I have a question … other recipes
call for the same amount of ingredients but they call for 1/4 teaspoon of
baking powder. I am a VERY novice baker, and I am confused as to what
baking powder does exactly and whether or not I should use it … please
respond, and thank you in advance.
She reminds me of one of the women on desperate house wives. The one that
was married & a few kids.
instead of butter can i use oil
Hands down the best tasting spritz recipe ive tried, and ive tried 3. Thank
you stephanie! But why is it that this dough is so hard to press?? I broke
my press by the end of the batch. Any tips for dough that wont come out?
