hi Stephanie. Thank you ,All your recipes turn to be excellent. Can we
substitute yogurt for the sour cream and I noticed you baked the cake on
the lowest rack of the oven.Is it how the rack level should be. Many
thanks
I’m making the cake without the icing and it’s in the oven. I’m using a 9″
pan as stated but the mixture is taking way over 40 minutes to bake. I’ve
added 15 minutes on already and it’s still not done. I’m going to add
another 15 and hopefully that does it, but it would have taken 1hr 10 min
not 30-40 mins.

Hi! This cake looks delicious and I would really like to make it but I was
wondering, won’t beating the batter for a long time develop the gluten in
the flour and make the cake really tough?
You could use plain yogurt or creme fraiche for the sour cream.
