If you don't mind metric measurements then this is for you. In the introduction the author discourages converting the recipes & even goes so far as to admonish the reader; "... you should source equipment that uses metric measurements; it shouldn't be hard to find since it is the most popular form of measurement in the world at the moment." I got this book for free so I think I'll skip the advice as well as this book.

who knew cookies could be so complicated? not worth the feelings of inadequacy & confusion when there are so many other resources where sugar is sugar & a cookie is easy!

First, I have downloaded numerous recipe books on Kindle and for the most part, they are awful. Awful formatting, no clickable TOC so I can jump to the recipe I want. This book is different in that respect. The formatting is excellent and the TOC is clickable so that you can jump right to the recipe you're looking for. Each recipe also has an intro to each cookie, which I enjoyed.

As far as the recipes go, they are truly wonderful! There are great recipes for your favorites (chocolate chip, gingerbread, etc) and your soon-to-be new favorites like coffee cookies, cherry chocolate, crumbly cookies, toffee apple cookies and more. Seriously, if you live in the U.S., you probably haven't heard of most of the cookies in this book. A couple of them sounded completely bizarre but as it turned out, these "bizarre" sounding cookies had all our friends talking. We have at least a dozen cookbooks solely for cookies and this one can't be beat. If you're looking for something to make that is unique and a guaranteed party favorite that will have people talking, get this book and try the interesting selection of cookies.

I always buy Wilton brand, because they are a great quality. They do not twist in the oven and cookies and cakes always come out good not burned.

I just treated myself to this baking sheet. As I wrote in other reviews I am replacing old bakeware with glass or Wilton, and this was my new addition last week. This is a heavyweight pan that is scratch resistant and has a nonstick look and feel to it. The label on mine reads dishwasher safe, but I usually wash them by hand. Wilton cleans up very easily, so you don't need SOS pads to scrub for an hour.

I have double ovens but they are narrow, so this is the largest pan I can fit in mine. This pan is 15.25 x 10.25 x ¾ inch, so a nice lip for making bar cookies. Including the handles this is 18.5 inches, fyi. Highly recommend this sheet and all Wilton products.

I bought two of these about a year ago. We use them for cookies and biscuits, of course, but also for one of our favorite treats--sweet potato "french fries". We've had absolutely no warping with these sheets as opposed to others we've used. But the big surprise is the non-stick coating. I figured that at this low price the non-stick coating would not really be non-stick. Wrong! It actually is non-stick. After baking, I let the pan cool down to room temp, then using an ordinary kitchen scrubber (the kind with the soft plastic bristles) with warm water and some liquid soap, it cleans right off. Swish-swish and I'm done! Just like one of my expensive Teflon frying pans. Water actually beads up on the surface after you've rinsed it. At first I thought that it was still a little greasy, but quickly you figure out that it just seems that way because the non-stick coating is so slick. Cool! I like these sheets alot!
