Why Chef Rush does 2,222 push-ups a day

WHEN I’M COOKING, ACTUALLY IT’S LIKE EUPHORIA. IT TAKES YOUR MIND TO ANOTHER PLACE AND IT
EASES YOU. WHEN I CAME BACK FROM DEPLOYMENTS THE FEELING
OF BEING OVERWHELMED, DEPRESED, ALONE HOPELESS A LOT. IS SOMETHING THAT YOU REALLY CAN’T DESCRIBE
I MEAN AND IT’S IS SOMETHING THAT YOU DON’T THINK ABOUT TOO MUCH AND JUST THINK THAT YOU
KNOW MAYBE IT’S JUST SOME YOU GOING TO GET OVER BUT IT’S NOT THAT SIMPLE. I DIDN’T REALIZE COOKING WAS MY THERAPY UNTIL
I ATUALLY REALIZED COOKING WAS MY THERAPY. I WOULD JUST DO IT ON A NORMAL BASIS AND WHEN
I WAS FEELING DOWN OR DEPRESSED OR OFF MY GAME SOMETIMES. I WOULD JUST GO INTO THE KITCHEN, PULL OUT
STUFF AND I WOULD START COOKING. AND I WOULD COOK AND I WOULD COOK. AND SOMETIMES I’LL MAKE, YOU KNOW, A SIX-COURSE
MEAL WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING IT. I’VE BEEN IN THAT EXACT SAME SPOT WHERE I
SMILE AND I LAUGH AND I KNOW THE SIGNS ALREADY. EACH AND EVERY TIME THAT I DO A PUSHUP I DO
IT FOR EACH AND EVERY PERSON THAT I LOST–ESPECIALLY WESLEY. AND A FEW OTHERS THAT POP IN MY MIND–RIGHT
OFF THE TOP AND THE ONES THAT ARE CONTINUOUSLY STRUGGLING RIGHT NOW THAT I HOPE AND PRAY
THAT THEY SEE WHAT I’M TRYING TO SAY. OR EVEN IF IT’S NOT ME–SOMEONE THAT IS SAYING
“HELP EACH OTHER. GET HELP” AND I KNOW THAT’S HARD BUT IF A PERSON LIKE
MYSELF, WHO CAN BENCH PRESS 700 POUNDS, AND WITH 24-INCH BICEPS CAN STOP AND SAY “HEY
I NEED HELP.” I MEAN. YOU CAN ALSO.

  1. Man you can see in his eyes as he’s speaking he went through some hard shit. Respect to that man for being open about it and pushing on through life and looking past the negatives even with all the bull shit life put him through respect man🤝👊.

  2. I’m sorry but I couldn’t stop laughing when he said “I didn’t realize cooking was my therapy until I realized cooking was my therapy” 0:53. Besides that this video actually very inspirational 👍

  3. I mean he is cool and all, but stop just doing tricep pushups man, go do a variety of pushups so you can balance out your body.

  4. Holy fucking shit. That guys food is amazing, doesn’t matter if it makes you puke, or it is luxurious, I don’t think you want to say anything bad about.

  5. He makes a Great point . The hardest part is asking for help. When you suffer with your mental health and every day seems endless and that cloud follows you around wherever you go and the only time you get a break from it is when you're asleep. So staying in bed sometimes seems like the only hope you have. Well it's not . Reach out to someone ask for help.
Even though you think they'll think your mad if you tell them what's on your mind . REACH OUT you'll be surprised how many people are willing to help no judgement no matter what's on your mind..Don't wait any longer. Let the time for suffering fade like an old memory and let your new life begin .
Take control , Make the change , Start to live even though you have forgotten
How life was or maybe you've never experienced what life should be like.
IT'S NEVER TO LATE TO MAKE A CHANGE AND EVEN LEARN SOMETHING NEW…

  6. First of all thank you for serving for your country (i live in Canada) but i know how hard it can be to go through those times, my brother was in the reserves for the military and im super thankful he never got deployed but thats only because of people like u

  7. Why the hell are steroids Illegal if white house supports steroid users? i cant believe i lived to see drugs get legalized yet steroids are still illegal and ppl often times have to opt for basement counterfeit shit…

  8. He definitely doesn't do that every day lol there's no rhyme or reason for that. You don't get huge biceps by doing pushups
