I would also suggest using rose syrup too if you can get your hands on it (or make your own with rose water) but use sparingly so its not too strong

I could only find an Indian/Southeast Asian brand of rice flour at my local international market, I know that's not the type to make these sweet rice cakes but would that be acceptable for the savory? It has been hard to find a lot of Korean ingredients since I moved an hour out from Chicago. I really miss having a Super H Mart in my area.

I love to make these to snack on! They're super delicious. I usually make a filling made out of honey, sesame oil and crushed peanuts and fold them over to make them like perogies or dumplings. Its super delicious!
