  1. What's a good substitute for tomatoes in a soup like this? Allergy reasons.

For example yesterday a subbed Zucchini for eggplants and it came out real good.

  2. i tried this tonight, but instead of the fish stock,i did homemade lobster stock, and this was outstanding

  3. Glad to see seafood back at the pit! I'm definitely gonna try this out, but I'm probably gonna add some sliced squid or octopus. Definitely gonna pump up the heat and replace the poblano with some hotter peppers too. Would you guys say that pretty much any fish works for this recipe?

  4. I thought the boys had gone a little light on their toes with "seafood soup," being grillers, BBQers and smokers, but I was surprised.
I was so happy when he dropped the delicate seafood in at the last minute, unlike so many cooking shows where they boil the daylights out of it.
Looked awesome and then, the crusty French Bread.

  5. Looks awesome! Ever try adding a dose of whipping cream and a handful of chopped dill at the end? It's another nice way to finish it off. You got me craving fish soup now!

  7. Great vid as always Boys!! You know I love my seafood!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Spring's here but look at all that snow you still have, just did my first lawn mowing of the year here in the rainy city lol. Looking forward to another great grilling season with the Pit Boys! Fired up my BBQ for the first time since last Summer the other day. Just some simple burgers n' dogs but it was great to smell the coals again. One thing I like to do is to throw some Alder tree twigs on and around the coals to get a bit of wood smoke. There's kind of a rich NW tradition of alder smoking salmon and other fish going way back to the native American tribes here… luv u guys!!!

  8. knew someone that would make bluefish soup down in Florida using fresh bluefish, oyster stock, potatoes and dunno what else. it was kinda fishy by itself but when you mixed in some crushed saltines it took away the fishy taste and it was damn good.

  9. @bbqpitboys what if there's no seafood/fish stock available at the store? love the recipe btw. BBQPBFL โœŒ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  10. If we could figure out how to make a grilled cheese fried catfish bacon and chicken and dumpling sandwich…I think we might be revered as gods.

  11. This is basically Cioppino. I've used crab, clams, shrimp, cod, and mussels before and it always turns out good. This one looks pretty good too. Cheers!

  13. Here in Spain we make a similar soup, but we actually add the shells to it,and then filtrate the liquid

  14. Y LAS CABEZAS DE PESCADO APA? A ESE CALDO MICHI LE FALTARON CABEZAS DE BAGRE O ALGUN DORADITO…. JEJE.

  15. Why you take the shell of the shrimp? If you left it on all the juice and flavor from the broth makes it taste better

  16. In my own style I would use chicken + beef + pork stock for this soup. Add some chili and lime.
Damn, either the way it both good.

  17. Make your own seafood stock by boiling chicken stock with those fish skins, lobster shell, and shrimp tails. Easy no waiste.

  18. Lord have mercy but you people don't have at all..๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚..you eat infront of us..๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜›
