  1. A heart that's full up like a landfill

A job that slowly kills you

    Bruises that won't heal

    You look so tired, unhappy

    Bring down the government

They don't, they don't speak for us

    I'll take a quiet life

    A handshake of carbon monoxide

With no alarms and no surprises

    No alarms and no surprises

    No alarms and no surprises

    Silent, silent

    This is my final fit

    My final bellyache

With no alarms and no surprises

    No alarms and no surprises

No alarms and no surprises, please

    Such a pretty house

    And such a pretty garden

    No alarms and no surprises

    No alarms and no surprises

No alarms and no surprises, please

  2. I came on here depressed. And the end of this song put things in perspective. This songs is about suicide. But in the same sense. At the end. The guy finall got what he wanted. A nice house. And a perfect garden. With no alarms. And no surprise. Just hold on friends. We can do this.

  3. nothing like crying to Radiohead on a Friday night
    Depression 100
    Anxiety 100

  4. Why tf am I addicted to this song? Ain’t complaining though
    No sex
    No drugs
Just a talented guy in aquarium diving
I hold my breadth when he hold his breadth but I failed to do till he do it 😅

  5. As of writing this it is 12:58 am. My heart is with my granny, I wish I could be with her for one more day, sitting on her swing eating ice cream snicker bars. This song is emotional because I can relate to not wanting anymore surprises, after mom and dad told me that she passed I wish that I will never have a surprise that will burry me in grief ever again. She suffered from dimension and was very forgetful she never even remembers me. But now she has all her memories back, she is happy.

  6. I understand this song as wanting to grow up but getting disappointed with what is around him, so instead this reflects upon him, turning him introvert, then he soon realises no matter how vast the ocean is, it would not be vastness what is really the point here, hence the aquarium in the music video. Feeling life is full but never really having the motivation to reach out is a very depressing sensation.

  7. I don’t know about you but I am just here not because I’m depressed, lonely or anxious just because I like Radiohead, to all those who are depressed, anxious… I hope all will go better
