Pancit Bihon Guisado (Filipino Rice Noodle)

Welcome to Panlasang Pinoy! I will demonstrate how to cook pancit guisado here are the ingredients that we will be needing to cook pancit guisado first and foremost, we’ll need rice sticks then we will need pork next is the chicken. This has been boiled it weights around half a pound the chicken has been shredded so that we can easily cook it later with the pork for the vegetables, we’ll need snow peas we need around 1/8 lbs. next we need some carrots and then cabbage next is celery (this should have been parsley, but I cannot find one today) either will work though one medium onion 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic next for our seasoning, this is chicken bouillon and 5 tablespoons of soy sauce let’s start to cook pancit guisado pour the oil in this cooking pot well use oil to saute the garlic and onion add the garlic now the garlic starts to get brown add the onion add the shredded chicken and sliced pork I will add the pork fist here is the chicken this needs to be stir fried add the chicken bouillon to enhance the flavor you can use chicken broth as an alterntive add 3 cups of water there goes the water… let the liquid boil. cover and continue to boil for 15 to 20 mins. Add more water if needed now that the meats are tender, time to add the veggies the vegetables that takes the longest time to cook should be added first start with the carrots and snow peas add the cabbage lastly, add the celery smells good do not overcook the vegetables once the veggies are done, remove everything from the cooking pot except the liquid add the soy sauce you can add salt only if necessary I will not add salt since soy sauce is already salty add some oyster sauce give it a stir now we can add the noodles the rice sticks needs to be soaked in water first before adding it here luke warm water is needed and 10 minutes should be enough time to soak it here is how it looks like after, the noodles becomes soft put the noodles in the cooking pot toss put the veggies and meat back in here is our pancit bihon guisado Thank you!

  1. Thanks for the video!

  2. I just wanna say something to all the haters out there. First of all, if you ended up watching these type of videos, most likely you're looking for cooking ideas or you don't have any cooking skills whatsoever. This guy is doing a good thing by showing people stuff. If you don't have anything good to say, you don't like how things are done in the videos, or if you're anal about proper names of ingredients and think that you know how it's done right, then perhaps upload your own video.

  3. @rgaton1984 I agree with you. These video uploaders need to delete these idiots's comments. I hope YT gives them the power to start blocking these trolls from all their videos.

  4. @meynxxx IKAW BOBO! THAT'S PANCIT BIHON! WHATS THE DIFFERENCE IF HE JUST WANT TO CALL IT JUST PANCIT OR JUST BIHON?! FUCK OFF!

  5. @sensibl PEOPLE! PEOPLE! C'MON IBINABABAD ANG PANCIT BIHON BEFORE COOKING SO HINDI MATAKAW SA TUBIG KAPAG NILULUTO! MAPAPANIS DAW?! YOUTUBERS NEVER CEASE TO DISSAPPOINT ME!

  6. ..ok!..alng po..dito samin sa cabanatuan seleri talaga gamit namin for pancit,..thanks for a lot of recipe,…

  29. i think the cook was using a sotanghon kaya binabad sa tubig. kung miki gamit you drop it sa pork or chicken stock with the meat in it then the carrots last yong leaf vegetables so there will be no need for you to take out vege etc as shown in this video. thus cocking is continuous eg. sautee the meat, add water till it boils, put carrots once soft add pansit noodles than the leafy vege then the spices, salt and wait till cooked

  30. Hi Vanjo. I enjoy watching your segments. I watched your Ampalaya Guisado. I agree with you that you put salt and slight warm water to get rid of the bitterness. I have another version from my late mother – just smash the bittermelon with salt; rinse with cold water and drain. no need to use cloth; and do not overcook just how you do it. Note: Everyone has their own version. Keep it on. I will try your BIKO. I make mine combined rice and coconut milk etc etc but still good.

  31. Poor production quality. Definitely because you're just starting up here. Fast forward 9 years, you're now a multi-millionaire who can purchase high-end production equipment. Congratulations!
