This soup has a strong garlic flavor that I love in recipes. Lots of delicious mushroom bits, too. The soup blends easily with milk without the “fatty clumps” typical of Campbell’s and many other brands. The container is tricky to open at first — you have to pinch the box flat on top, then tear off a strip.

The Pacific Brand “Cream of” soups are a great replacement for those to have to go gluten free. The taste is as good or better than the traditional condensed soups. The only reason it’s four stars is that most often, you must add some GF flour or other GF thickener as it can be a tish on the thin side (compared to traditional soups). Will buy this again and again and so thankful to have found a GF version that is high quality and tastes just as good, if not BETTER!

I am very sensitive to MSG and all its derivatives (yeast extract, etc). This is the only Cream of Mushroom soup I have ever found that does not have yeast extract in it or MSG. Even other “organic” cream of mushroom soups contain yeast extract. I had to give up some of my favorite recipes because I couldn’t find a cream of mushroom soup that didn’t cause me to have my “MSG headaches.” Well not any more. I can enjoy all my favorite recipes again! This soup is great tasting and adds wonderful flavor to my recipes. I even love how it comes in a carton rather than a can. The quality of the soup is great and the ingredients are all natrual. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has MSG sensitivities or who is just looking to add more great tasting natural ingredients to their recipes.
