MUMMY’S COOKING – GREEN GRAM DHOKLA / PACHAIPAYIRU DHOKLA


Green Gram Dhokla without Eno Salt Usually Dhokla is made out of Besan flour. Here in this video Green Gram also added to make tasty Dhokla Soaked and one day sprouted Green Gram 1 cup. Add Green Chilli, Small piece of Ginger, Curry leaves, Coriander leaves, salt and grind to a paste. Transfer to a container Here I have not added water. Add Rava 2 Tbsp, Curd 1 Tbsp, Lemon juice 1 Tbsp and mix well and keep aside for 15 minutes Take one more Bowl add Besan flour 1 cup, Rava 2 Tbsp, Curd 1/2 Cup, Salt, Turmeric powder and water 1/2 cup . Mix well. Add water if necessary and keep aside for 15 minutes Now add little water, Lemon Juice, and mix Take a pan, add water and place a stand as shown in the video. Heat the pan Just before cooking add 1/2 Tsp Baking powder, 1/4 Tsp Baking soda to the Besan batter and mix well Take the Green Gram batter, add 1/4 tsp Baking powder and a pinch of Baking soda . Mix well Mix little oil to both the batter Pour the Besan batter to a greased container, above this add Green Gram batter . Keep this inside the pan on the stand. Cook for 20 minutes Insert a skewer in the center and check . It should come out clean if it is done For tempering, add oil to a pan, add Mustard, Jeera, Ginger, Green Chilli, Curry leaves, Hing and saute. Pour the tempering over Dhokla and spread. Pour Sugar Syrup over the Dhokla and add sugar syrup just before serving to enhance the taste Soft Green Gram Dhokla is ready and try this awesome Dhokla.
