what we’re going to do today is make
french fries just like fast food with far fewer calories. So what you want
to start with is a russet potato these tend to be a little more dry then
your red or waxy yellow potatoes. These work best for

disappears then you’re going to take your potato
and cut it into french fry size pieces okay now we are
ready for the secret process that makes these french
fries taste like fast food fries we’re going to drop them in boiling
water for just about two minutes.Once you have drained those boiled potatoes, place them on a
cotton towel, if you have paper towels that’s fine gently pat them because we want the oil and whatever seasoning you’re going to use
to stick to them so we’re going to take a teaspoon or two of olive oil, vegetable oi,l peanut oil whatever you
have and gonna lightly toss these with the oil we’re gonna but a little bit of salt on
it and a little bit of pepper but you can use garlic powder onion
powder some of the other flavored seasonings. We
have the no salt seasoning which would be a great addition and after you’ve done that you want to put
it on a baking sheet I have lined this baking sheet with
parchment paper it makes cleanup easier if you dont have parchment paper no big deal
use tinfoil we have heated our oven to 450 degrees depending on the size that you have cut
your potatoes into it’ll be 25 to 30 minutes. If you like
potatoes to be a little more crispy and brown turn the broiler on for the last two or
three minutes and when you are finished that is easy
