English BREAKFAST II Layman’s COOKING II EASY Breakfast RECIPE II ROOFTOP RANNAGHAR

Today’s episode is especially for those, who can’t really cook, just like me. Today we will try to make a breakfast with whatever we get easily, for example, some winter veggies. While some music plays, I am cutting the potatoes. Don’t bother to peel the skin off. I have to become super careful while chopping vegetables. I think you can get that I am not an expert in this. And there are many others around, just like me, who are not comfortable with knives. The music adds a new flavour to the cooking. Frankly speaking, there’s no specific name of this breakfast recipe. I’ll get to understand the name once it’s done. We can slit the carrot from the middle. And then make vertical pieces. Be careful while chopping green chillies, for your own safety. To avoid burning sensation… I’ll use both butter and white oil. This much butter is enough. I don’t want it to be deep-fried. The butter is melted. Now we will shallow fry the winter vegetables. As you can see, cauliflower, broccoli, bell pepper, potato and carrot are cut into small pieces. We put all these in the pan. We can put the lid on now. Now it’s time to add salt. We can add salt according to taste and then we stir it a bit. We put the lid on again. The vegetables get steamed, as we put the lid on. I am adding some more butter. It’s absolutely according to my taste. Those who eat less fat, they can surely avoid this. Now I add a little water. For the next item, we just grease the pan with a little oil. For making egg poach, we need to add a portion of water. It’s difficult to break the egg correctly for a layman. But it’ll taste the same I am sure. Oh, the music has stopped! We have to wait until the water dries up. Now I’ll add some finely chopped coriander leaves. And chopped green chillies also, just a little. We take brown bread and remove the sides. You can keep the sides intact, it’s up to you. So I have removed the sides of three slices of bread, and I kept it intact for one. I don’t know why it’s called French Toast. If something like this happens, then follow this trick. You can remove the broken shell, with the piece of eggshell itself. Now we add salt, chopped coriander leaves, onion and chillies. As we have to fry this, we need to take a little more oil. The winter morning is very pretty on Rooftop Rannaghar. It’s sunny, quite cold in Kolkata this year. Now we dip the slices of bread in the egg batter, and fry it one by one. You can turn it like this. Both the sides should be fried till golden brown. You can deep or shallow fry it according to your choice. The coriander leaves make it tastier. You can turn it like this to make the fry better. So, coffee, The Beatles and an unknown breakfast!
